Where it comes from

One sunny morning I was at school at music class, while my teacher was teaching us about playing the guitar, I was listening to music on my personal stereo. The first song of my favourite radio program was a new hit of an American girl called Britney spears. I heard a super sticky music that left me shocked and lift my feet off the ground. I was amazed at that gorgeous new singer, she was a great singer and I became without hesitation a fan of her. From this moment I started to be interested in English and that inspired me to learn English as a second language.

Now, I am studying English teaching and this has taught me how to understand and use English expressions. One of the basic rules for learning these expressions is that you have to pay a lot of attention to phrasal verbs because they are the most commonly structures used by native speakers. I started to copy all of the expressions that I have seen on television or the ones that my teachers have taught me at university. So learning all this stuff has become a great opportunity to prove to myself that I can use these expressions and teach them to other people like my best friends or my classmates.

Secondly, I have gained a lot of self confidence speaking and my English has become better and fluent. In addition one of the best parts of being an English student is that I can speak and express myself through English. As a result of all the classes that I have taken at university now I am able to talk and express myself in my new second language that it is English. It is super exiting for me when I have to meet foreign people because I know that they are going to understand my English. I feel proud of my oral English because I can communicate as if I were a North American person.

Finally, I feel richer as a person because I have got the best of both cultures and that is the best part of me. Now I can see the difference between my culture and the North American, I’m picking up the pieces of North American culture and make it part of my myself. All the knowledge that I have acquired at university has made me a better person and that is so important for me because I know that I will never stop learning English, and at the end of the day nothing that I have learned is going to be forgotten.

In conclusion I can see that I have been gained a lot of things because of my favorite singer. Britney has given me the confidence to do things for me in my life. But Britney has been from the top of her career to the bottom. So I just realized that not all in life is good and if you want to succeed in life, you just have to take the right decisions and make your dreams come true.
